This endorsement applies only to carnivals, circuses, and fairs. It
excludes coverage for bodily injury losses due to mechanically operated
amusement devices and from any sports or athletic event the named insured
sponsors. It does not exclude coverage for injuries to spectators at such
events only the participants. It should be attached when CG 22 58 is on the
underlying coverage form or policy.
CU 22 15–Limitation of Coverage–Real Estate Operations
This endorsement amends the coverage provided for real estate operations. Coverage applies to only losses that arise from the named insured’s office and the named insured’s listings. It also includes coverage for premises the named insured shows that are for sale or rental. It should be attached when CG 22 60 is on the underlying policy.
Note: Property management is specifically excluded,
as well as operations related to other owned properties.
CU 22 16–Underground Resources and Equipment Coverage
This endorsement provides underground resource and equipment property
damage coverage for the ten operations listed on the endorsement schedule that CU
22 13 excludes. The property damage
coverage provided is subject to the separate aggregate limit on the endorsement
schedule. The property damage exclusions for property in the insured’s care,
custody, and control, being worked on, and that must be restored do not apply
to property damage included in the underground resources and equipment
hazard. This should be attached when CG
22 62 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 17–Stevedoring Operations Limited Completed Operations Coverage
This endorsement limits
completed operations coverage for stevedoring operations. There is no coverage
for injury or damage due to a products-completed operations hazard that arises
from any occurrence at the site of a completed or abandoned stevedoring
operation. This applies only if the occurrence does not take place on board a
vessel. It should be attached when CG
22 63 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 18–Optical and Hearing Aid Establishments (04 13 change)
This endorsement provides coverage for optical and hearing aid professional services by removing the exclusion for professional optometric and hearing aid related services and adding an insuring agreement that defines coverage. The insuring agreement applies to Coverage A, but the endorsement removes the exclusions in both Coverages A and B. It removes the optometry section of the professional liability exclusion but it also, for no apparent reason except that they are at the end of the list of professional services, removes the professional liability exclusions for law enforcement or firefighting services and the handling of dead bodies.
This endorsement should be attached when CG 22 65 is on the
underlying coverage form or policy. The 04 13 edition is changed to track
with the 04 13 edition of CU 00 01.

CU 22 19–Corporal Punishment
This endorsement amends the expected or intended injury exclusion by
adding an exception for corporal punishment the named insured administers or
directs others to administer to one of its students. It should be attached when
CG 22 67 is on the underlying coverage form or policy.
CU 22 20–Druggists (04 13 change)
This endorsement provides professional liability coverage for the health care services of a druggist. This is especially important with the change in the 04 13 edition because CU 00 01 excludes all professional pharmacy services. This endorsement applies to only bodily injury and property damage. It does not include personal and advertising injury liability coverage that the prior edition provided. It should be attached when CG 22 69 is on the underlying policy.
Note: This endorsement does not provide coverage when the druggist consults, prescribes, or is actively involved in managing drug therapy. This recognizes that state laws and statutes are expanding to allow druggists to perform professional services once restricted to physicians. Coverage is available for the broadened exposure under CU 22 63–Druggists–Broadened Coverage.
CU 22 21–Colleges or Schools
This umbrella endorsement excludes injury to a person practicing or participating in a sports and athletic contest ONLY when the insured is not actively involved in managing or supervising the event.
This should be attached when either CG 22 71 or CG 22 72 is on the underlying policy.
Note: This
endorsement should be carefully compared to CG 22 71–Colleges or Schools (Limited Form) and
CG 22 72–Colleges or Schools because it corresponds to only one section
of these endorsements that have similar titles. One significant potential gap
in coverage is that the CG endorsements add board members and student teachers
as insureds, but the CU endorsement does not. Another gap is the limited
infirmary professional coverage that CG 22 72 provides that this endorsement
does not provide.
CU 22 22–Exclusion–Erroneous Delivery or Mixture and Resulting Failure
of Seed to Germinate–Seed Merchants
This endorsement excludes
coverage for property damage due to seed failing to germinate, as well as
erroneous delivery of seed, improper mixing of the seed formula, and any
failure to germinate that results from improper mixing or formula. It should be
attached when CG 22 81 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 23–Exclusion–Property Damage to Electronic Data (Computer
Software Manufacturer)
This endorsement was withdrawn in 12 04 because this exclusion was added
to the 12 04 edition of CU 00 01.
CU 22 24–Exclusion–Telecommunication Equipment or Service Providers
Errors and Omissions
This endorsement excludes coverage for losses due to telecommunication
equipment or services errors and omissions. Losses due to any type of
deficiency, error, omission, or defect in evaluation, consultation, or advice
given by any insured or by others on its behalf are also excluded. This
exclusion also extends to any set-up when the named insured is the service
provider. In addition, failure by any insured to provide telecommunication
services is also excluded. It should be attached when CG 22 91 is on the
underlying policy.
CU 22 25–Emergency Services–Volunteer Firefighters and Workers Injuries
Excluded (09 18 change)
This endorsement excludes
bodily injury to volunteer firefighters and other emergency rescue personnel
but only while they perform such services. It should be attached when CG 22 56
and/or CA 20 30 are on the underlying policies. The change removed wording related to auto and to fellow employee. The
result is a reduction in coverage because all coverage for volunteer
firefighters and emergency rescue personnel is excluded.
Note: This endorsement provides broader coverage because personal and advertising injury is excluded in the CGL but not in the umbrella.
CU 22 26–Emergency Services–Fellow Volunteer Firefighters and Workers
Injuries Limited Exclusion (09 18 change)
This endorsement provides coverage for bodily injury to a fellow firefighter or other volunteer worker of the insured if the injury is sustained during firefighting, rescue, or ambulance operations. It should be attached when CA 20 07 is on the underlying policy. Reference to CU 22 25 in the endorsement is removed so that the CU 22 25 should no longer be attached along with endorsement. (09 18 change)
CU 22 27–Leasing or Rental Concerns–Exclusion of Certain Leased Autos
This endorsement excludes coverage for injury or damage caused by actions or inaction of parties that lease or rent a vehicle from the named insured. It should be attached when CA 20 12 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 28–Leasing or Rental Concerns–Rent-It-There/Leave-It-Here Autos
This endorsement excludes
coverage for the owner or the renter of a rent-it-there/leave-it-here auto left
with the named insured. It should be attached when CA 20 12 is on the
underlying policy.
CU 22 29–Leasing or Rental Concerns–Schedule of Limits for Owned Autos (09
18 change)
This endorsement allows the insured to have one set of limits for leased vehicles that require direct primary insurance and another set of limits for leased vehicles that do not have that requirement. It should be attached when CA 20 13 is on the underlying policy. The only change in the 09 18 change was in formatting.
CU 22 30–Leasing or Rental Concerns–Lessees and Rentees Excluded
This endorsement excludes
as insureds parties that rent or lease owned vehicles from the named insured.
However, coverage still applies to the named insured and all other insureds.
This endorsement is less restrictive than
CU 22 27–Leasing or Rental Concerns–Exclusion of Certain Leased Autos.
CU 22 31–Auto Dealers Endorsement (09 18 change)
This endorsement is mandatory when the underlying coverage is on an auto
dealer coverage form or policy.

CU 22 33–Public Transportation Autos
This endorsement extends the liability umbrella coverage form to cover damage to passengers’ property while carried by a public transport vehicle. It should be attached when CA 24 02 is on the underlying policy.

CU 22 35–Motor Carriers–Insurance for Non-trucking Use (09 18 change)

CU 22 39–Driving Schools Non-Owned Autos ()9 18 change)
This endorsement adds an item to the definition of Section II–Who Is an Insured. When a non-owned vehicle is used for driving training, the named insured, driving instructors, and student drivers while being instructed are insureds. It should be attached when CA 20 06 is on the underlying policy. The only change in the 09 18 change was in formatting and a title change.
CU 22 40–Policy Changes (09 18 change)
This endorsement provides the insurance company with a way to amend non-coverage elements of existing liability umbrella coverage forms and policies. The only change in the 09 18 change was in formatting.
CU 22 61–Exclusion–Damage to Work Performed By Subcontractors on Your
Behalf–Designated Sites or Operations
This restrictive endorsement amends exclusion o. Damage to Your Work by
eliminating the exception for subcontractors that work on the named insured’s
behalf. It applies only on the site or for the operations on the endorsement
schedule. It should be attached
when CG 22 95 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 63–Druggists–Broadened Coverage (04 13 change)
This endorsement provides professional
liability coverage for the health care services of a druggist. This is especially important with the change
in the 04 13 edition because CU 00 01 excludes all professional pharmacy
services unless this endorsement or CU 22 20 is attached. This endorsement
applies to only bodily injury and property damage. Coverage for personal and
advertising injury provided in the prior edition form is no longer included. It should be attached when CG 22 97 is on the
underlying policy.
Note: This endorsement provides broader coverage than CU 22 20–Druggists. The
only druggists professional service excluded is one that results from willful
violation of statutes and ordinances. In states where druggists are not
required to have physician’s oversight to provide pharmacological services, the
druggist’s professional exposure may become more like a physician’s
professional exposure.
CU 22 64–Exclusion–Damage to Work Performed By Subcontractors on Your
Behalf
This restrictive endorsement amends exclusion o. Damage to Your Work by
eliminating the exception for subcontractors that work on the named insured’s
behalf. It should be attached
when CG 22 94 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 68–Exclusion–Professional Services–Blood Banks (04 13 addition)
This endorsement excludes bodily injury and property damage coverage
for the handling, distribution, representation, or warranting of blood
products. It also excludes professional health services in connection with

underlying policy.
CU 22 83–Professional Liability Exclusion–Computer Software (04 13
addition)
This endorsement excludes bodily injury, property damage, and personal
and advertising injury related to services provided or that were not provided
that relate in any way to the named insured’s computer software. It should be attached when CG 22 75 is on the
underlying policy.
CU 22 84–Exclusion–Testing or Consulting Errors and Omissions (04 13
change)
This endorsement excludes coverage for losses that arise out of any error, omission, defect, or deficiency in testing, evaluation, consultation, or advice given by any insured or by others on its behalf. Negligence in supervisory functions is also excluded. It should be attached when CG 22 33 is on the underlying policy.
CU 22 85–Exclusion–Internet Service Providers and Internet Access
Providers Errors and Omissions (04 13 change)
This endorsement excludes bodily injury and property damage coverage for losses due to Internet-related errors, omissions, defects, or deficiencies in any evaluation, consultation, or advice that any insured gives. It also excludes failing to provide adequate Internet services or access. Negligence in supervisory functions is also excluded. It should be attached when CG 22 98 is on the underlying policy.

Services and Computer Consulting or Programming Services (04 13 addition)
This endorsement excludes coverage for losses due to services, advice, or instruction related to data processing, computer consulting, or computer programming that was provided or should have been provided. Such acts by the insured or anyone for whom it is legally or contractually liable are not covered. Negligence in supervisory functions is also excluded. It should be attached when CG 22 88 is on the underlying policy.
CR 24 01–Waiver of Transfer of Rights of Recovery Against Others to Us
(Waiver of Subrogation) (09 18 addition)
This endorsement
amends the Transfer of Rights of Recovery Against Others to Us condition. The
insurance company waives its rights of recovery against the party listed on the
endorsement schedule but only with respect to the named insured's use of
covered auto under contract with the designated party. It should be attached
when CA 04 44 is attached.
CU 24 02–Waiver of Charitable Immunity
The endorsement states
that the insurance company does not use the insured’s status as a charity as a
waiver of immunity unless the insured agrees in writing to the company using
such a defense. It should be attached when
CG 24 03 is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 03–Waiver of Transfer of Rights of Recovery Against Others to Us
This endorsement amends the Transfer of Rights of Recovery Against Others
to Us condition. The insurance company waives its rights of recovery against
the party listed on the endorsement schedule but only with respect to the named
insured's operations and work under contract with the designated party. It
should be attached when
CG 24 04 is on the underlying policy.
Note: This does not necessarily extend to auto coverage.
CU 24 04–Financial Institutions–Fiduciary Interest Only
This endorsement provides
additional exclusions and provisions (including coverage for additional
interests) on policies where the named insured is a fiduciary. It has a
reporting provision and limits coverage to a fiduciary interest for the
ownership, maintenance, and use of property. The financial institution must
submit a list of the properties acquired, relinquished, or terminated every 60
days. It should be attached when CG 24 05 is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 05–Products-Completed Operations Hazard Redefined
This endorsement replaces
the definition of Products-Completed Operations Hazard to provide on-premises
products coverage for certain scheduled operations. It is used on restaurants
and other occupancies where products are usually consumed on premises. It should be attached when CG 24 07 is on the
underlying policy.
CU 24 06–Fiduciaries–Fiduciary Interest
This endorsement provides additional exclusions and provisions (including
coverage for additional interests) on policies where the named insured is a
fiduciary. It is used most often for banks and other fiduciaries and is identical
to CU 24 04–Financial Institutions–Fiduciary Interest Only except that the
reporting requirement is removed. It should be attached when CG 24 11 is on the
underlying policy.
CU 24 07–Boats
This endorsement modifies the aircraft or watercraft exclusion to not
apply to any watercraft listed on the endorsement schedule that the insured
owns, rents, or uses. It should be attached when CG 24 12 is on the underlying
policy. The schedules must be kept consistent.
CU 24 08–Waiver of Governmental Immunity
In this endorsement, the insurance company agrees to not exercise an insured’s governmental immunity in either adjusting or defending claims. The insured still has the right to request the carrier to claim the immunity, but the request must be in writing. It should be attached when CG 24 14 is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 09–Contractual Liability–Railroads
This endorsement redefines Insured Contract to broaden coverage by eliminating all restrictions that apply specifically to construction and demolition operations around railroad property. The redefinition applies only for the railroad and at the jobsite scheduled. It should be attached when CG 24 17 is on the underlying policy.

CU 24 10–Seed Merchants–Coverage for Erroneous Delivery or Mixture and
Resulting Failure of Seed to Germinate
This endorsement adds property damage coverage for losses due to erroneous delivery of seed. It covers failing to deliver seed at all, delivering the wrong seed, or delivering seed at the wrong season or time of the year. It also covers errors in the mechanical mixture of seed or seed failing to germinate if the failure is due to delivering the wrong seed, delivering seed at the wrong season or time of the year, or errors in the mechanical mixture of seed. This is the opposite of CU 22 22–Exclusion–Erroneous Delivery or Mixture and Resulting Failure of Seed to Germinate–Seed Merchants, which excludes the coverage. It should be attached when CG 24 18 is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 11–Seed Merchants–Coverage for Erroneous Delivery or Mixture
(Resulting Failure of Seed to Germinate Not Included)
This endorsement adds property damage coverage for losses due to
erroneous delivery of seed. It covers failing to deliver seed at all,
delivering the wrong seed, or delivering seed at the wrong season or time of
the year. It also covers errors in the mechanical mixture of seed. It excludes
property damage due to the seed failing to germinate. This endorsement is the
same as CU 24 10–Seed Merchants–Coverage for Erroneous
Delivery or Mixture and Resulting Failure of Seed to Germinate except that it
excludes property damage due to seed failing to germinate. It should be
attached when CG 24 19 is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 13–Amendment of Personal and Advertising Injury Definition (04 13
addition)
This endorsement applies to only
Personal and Advertising Injury Liability. It removes oral or written
publication that violates a person’s right of privacy from the definition of
Personal and Advertising Injury.
Note: The definition is changed
in only Coverage B. As a result, item e. remains in the definition when it is
excluded under Coverage A. This approach assures that this offense does not
move from Coverage B. to Coverage A. It should be attached when CG 24 13
is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 14–Fellow Employee Auto Coverage
By eliminating the fellow employee exclusion from Section II–Who is An Insured this endorsement provides liability coverage when one employee injures another with a covered auto. It should be attached when CA 20 55 is on the underlying policy.
CU 24 15–Fellow Employee Auto Coverage for Designated
Employees/Positions (09 18 change)
This endorsement is identical to CU 24 14–Fellow Employee Auto Coverage except that the fellow employee exclusion is eliminated only for the employees specifically named or employees who hold the specific titles or the job positions on the endorsement schedule. It should be attached when CA 20 56 is on the underlying policy. The only change in the 09 18 change was in formatting.
Note: When names, job positions, or titles are scheduled, it is very important to update the schedule at each renewal because changes can take place at any time. A person may be a secretary one day and an administrative assistant the next. If only the position of secretary is listed, the person who was covered as a secretary loses the coverage immediately upon becoming an administrative assistant.
CU 24 16–Auto Dealers Broad Form Products Coverage (09 18 change)
This endorsement is used only when the underlying coverage is provided by
an auto dealer or garage coverage form or policy. It removes exclusion n.
Damage to Your Property because the auto dealers and garage coverage forms do
not contain this exclusion. The only change in the 09 18 change was in
formatting and a title change.

CU 24 17–Individual Named Insured–Auto Coverage
This endorsement should
be used when an individual is listed as a named insured. It provides a limited
amount of personal auto coverage. It should be attached when CA 99 17 is on the
underlying policy.
CU 24 18–Repossessed Autos (09 18 change)
This endorsement appears to provide coverage but is actually an exclusion endorsement with limited exceptions. It excludes liability coverage for vehicles the named insured repossesses but provides three exceptions. Liability coverage applies while the vehicle is being repossessed, while it is being held for sale, and after it has been sold but is awaiting delivery. The liability coverage provided is subject to the different each occurrence limit on the endorsement schedule. It should be attached when CA 20 19 is on the underlying policy. The only change in the 09 18 change was in formatting.
CU 24 19–Lessor–Additional Insured and Loss Payee (09 18 change)
This endorsement requires that the insurance company notify the additional insured on the endorsement schedule of any cancellation. This means it must send notice to the designated additional insured if it sends notice to the named insured. This places a burden on the carrier because coverage continues in effect for the designated additional insured if it is not notified. In addition, the insurance carrier must notify the designated additional insured if the named insured cancels the policy.
It should be attached when CA 20 01 is on the underlying policy. The only change in the 09 18 change was in formatting.
CU 24 20–Broadened Bodily Injury Definition
This endorsement broadens the umbrella coverage form definition of bodily injury to include mental or emotional injury without requiring that it be a direct result of the bodily injury.
CU 24 23–Coverage for Professional Services
This endorsement eliminates the professional services exclusions in the umbrella coverage form. It then states that the coverage provided because of the exclusion’s elimination becomes follow form to the underlying coverage.
Note: The wording added is open-ended and may be subject to different interpretations.
CU 24 29–Businessowners Liability Changes (04 13 addition)

13 changes)
This endorsement is similar to CU 24 32–Limited Coverage Territory except that the coverage can be expanded to additional countries by listing them on the endorsement schedule. It should be attached when CG 24 23 is on the underlying policy.

editorial and changes in format only and do not affect coverage.
CU 24 34–Auto Dealers Products and Work Aggregate Limit of Insurance
(09 18 addition)
This endorsement provides a separate Products and Work Aggregate Limit of Insurance. The separate aggregate applies only for bodily injury and property damage that occur away from the premises and are due to the named insured’s work or product. The policy general aggregate does not apply to such losses. Neither of the aggregates applies to losses caused by covered auto.
CU 24 35–Amendment of Coverage Territory–Worldwide Coverage with
Specified Exceptions (04 13 change)
This endorsement provides the standard liability umbrella coverage form definition of coverage territory except that the countries listed on the endorsement schedule are not part of the coverage territory. It should be attached when CG 24 24 is on the underlying policy.
Note: The 04 13 changes are editorial and changes in format only and do not affect coverage.
CU 24 36–Products-Completed Operations Aggregate Limit of Insurance (09
